One of the well-established enterprises of the automotive aftermarket, Basbug Group achieves significant innovations and changes at corporate level in its 50th anniversary: The renowned and experienced name of the sector, Anıl Yücetürk, has been appointed as the general manager of the Group.

Having started its business operations in 1974 by selling spare parts for the automotive industry in Aksaray district of Istanbul, Basbug Group serves all around Türkiye and in the international arena today and accomplishes major achievements in its 50th foundation anniversary. As part of the change that occurred in the organizational structure, Anıl Yücetürk who possesses experience at international level has joined Basbug Group. Mr. Yücetürk started his position as the General Manager in charge of Başbuğ Auto Spare Parts and BSG Auto Parts companies under the roof of Basbug Group.

Anıl Yücetürk joins Basbug Group

Upon completing his Bachelor’s Degree at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Istanbul University, Mr. Yücetürk received his post-graduate degrees in finance and MBA at the University of North Alabama. A major part of Mr. Yücetürk’s successful career focused on several management positions at Autoliv, where he also served as the director of the Department of European Regional Sales and Projects. Thereafter, Anıl Yücetürk assumed the title of General Manager at Maysan Mando and lastly worked as the CEO of HL Mando Aftermarket company. A married father of one child, Mr. Yücetürk can speak English, Italian and German languages.

Rising targets in the 50th anniversary

Celebrating the 50th year of its foundation, Basbug Group has made great progress in the past half-century: Basbug Group incorporates Başbuğ Auto Spare Parts, BSG Auto Parts, NEREX, ASEL, NEV Automotive, NEV Insurance and Otolye companies in its body and is currently a giant body operating in 81 provinces of Türkiye, and also in more than 94 countries around the world. Having 15 Logistics Centers with a storage area larger than 50,000 square meters, four of them being in foreign countries, Basbug Group serves as the Turkish distributor of around 100 brands and possesses an inventory consisting of a range of over 120,000 products including hundreds of global brands.

With its half-century experience and vision for continuous development, Basbug Group continues its journey filled with success thanks to its new structuring. Basbug Group keeps in its stocks spare parts of all light commercial and automobiles from all brands at its Turkish vehicle park, and delivers its rich range of products available for 97% of the vehicles in the market by means of its own distribution network and to more than 85% of Türkiye. Achieving a growth higher than the industry average, the group also aims at closing 2024 by breaking new records, and thus protecting its long-standing reputation.

A magnificent celebration for the 50th anniversary

Continuing its future investments without a pause, Basbug Group also preserves its bonds with its deep-rooted history. The Group's journey of success, reaching from 1974 to 2024, was celebrated with a magnificent gala night. Managers and employees of Başbuğ Auto Spare Parts, BSG Auto Parts, NEREX, ASEL, NEV Automotive, NEV Insurance and Otolye companies operating under Basbug Group, as well as guests, attended the 50th anniversary gala night held at Hilton Bomonti Hotel. Halit Başbuğ, Chief Executive Officer, delivered the opening speech during the event where General Manager Anıl Yücetürk also shared his feelings and thoughts.

Artists colored up the night

The employees who has been serving for the longest times at Basbug Group were presented plaques at the special event held for the 50th anniversary. Comedian Yavuz Seçkin, percussionist Devrimcan Kapdan and Enbe Orchestra presented a pleasant night for the guests with their performances. Yavuz Seçkin also hosted the night and had the attendants laugh without stopping, with their imitation performances and jokes, while Devrimcan Kapdan included guests in his performance. Employees and guests of Basbug Group who tried performing imitations along with the artist had entertaining moments. In the advancing minutes of the night, Enbe Orchestra colored up the 50th anniversary celebration night of Basbug Group, performing a rich repertoire that included latin, jazz, country and pop music.
